AMP is a distributed energy company specialising in the sale of wood fuels and the financing and installation of distributed energy projects including biomass boiler ESCOs and stand by power generation facilities.
AMP operates through two business divisions:
Forest Fuels - which supplies wood chip and wood pellet to end customers
Projects - which develops biomass boilers, biomass CHP and stand-by power generation facilities which are financed by third party infrastructure funds
BIOMASS & GRID BALANCING
AMP’s projects division develops:
Biomass Boiler and Biomass CHP ESCO projects

Neil Eckert Chairman
Neil founded AMP in 2010 after the £400m sale of Climate Exchange plc, where he had been Chief Executive since 2005. Climate Exchange plc owned the European Climate Exchange, the world’s largest carbon trading platform.
Previously Neil was co-founder and CEO of Brit Insurance, a UK and international insurance and reinsurance company listed on the LSE, from 1995 until March 2005. He served as a Non-Executive Director from April 2005 until May 2008
Chief Executive Officer
Richard Burrell began working with AMP in 2012 when AMP Limited started working with his company, Mathieson Capital. Richard founded Mathieson Capital in 2010 in order to invest in renewable energy and related businesses, primarily in the biomass and waste to energy sectors.
Previously in 2002, he founded the London listed, top quartile performing Westbury Property Fund (now Stobart Group) and the following year, he launched the Medical Property Investment Fund (now Assura group) and served as its Chief Executive between 2003 and 2010. Prior to this, Richard worked in investment banking at UBS and ING.
Richard holds a BA in Economics from Durham University.
Chief Financial Officer
Mark joined AMP in 2011 to originate and develop project opportunities before taking on the role of Chief Financial Officer in May 2014. Prior to AMP, Mark worked at Canopy Capital, a private equity firm investing in rainforest conservation where he remains a Director. Previously, Mark was a Manager at Barclays Capital where he focused on the syndication of primary bond transactions. Mark has an MSc (Distinction) in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BSc in Economics from University College London.
Company Secretary &
In-House Legal Director
Lauren was part of AMP at its inception and continues to deal with the legal aspects of the Company, in addition to developing AMP’s waste to energy and wood to energy business.
Previously Lauren worked for Climate Exchange plc as a Corporate Finance Analyst, In house Legal and Company Secretary until the sale of the Company in 2010.
She holds a LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Edinburgh and a Diploma in European Law from Lund University, Sweden.
Head of Investor Relations
& P.A. to Chairman
Helene was part of AMP at its inception and maintains responsibility for investor relations. Previously Helene worked in this role for Climate Exchange plc until the sale of the Company in 2010. Climate Exchange plc owned the European Climate Exchange, the world’s largest carbon trading platform.
Helen is also Director and Company secretary of Design Technology & Innovation Limited and Design Technology & Irrigation Limited.
Peter joined Forest Fuels as MD and shareholder in 2010, and has lead the business through its expansion since then.
Focussing on developing the company's national presence, through both acquisition and organic growth, and building the strong staff team we have today, Peter thrives on growing the business. Previously he was a Director at South West based environmental contracting firm Silvanus Services Ltd, and has a number of other business and countryside/land based investments.
