Guides Therapeutics rises, Immune Therapeutics falls.


Xilinx (NASDAQ:XLNX) jumped 12% to $48.18. The chip maker said revenue retreated 4.6% in the holiday quarter but still topped expectations, aided by sales of new products.

FireEye (NASDAQ:FEYE) advanced 2.6% to $15.25. The cybersecurity firm said it paid $200mln to acquire closely held iSight Partners Inc., a Dallas company that hires intelligence agents abroad to try to spot cyberattacks before they happen.

Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) gained 1.8% to $45.28 after the company’s adjusted profit edged in above Wall Street estimates for the fourth quarter.

Logitech (NASDAQ:LOGI) rose 7.2% to $14.71. Logitech reported a 1.5% drop in operating profit, as demand for computer accessories continued to drop. However, the company known for computer mice and keyboards did beat analysts' forecasts.

Guided Therapeutics (OTCBB:GTHP) rose 11% to $0.00886. the maker of a rapid and painless testing platform expects to achieve a second consecutive quarter of record sales for the LuViva® Advanced Cervical Scan.


Immune Therapeutics (OTCMKTS:IMUN) fell 4.3% to US$0.20. The U.S. biotechnology company said it has completed its 90-day bridging trial of HIV+ patients. It added that it submitted data to Nigeria’s NAFDAC to obtain approval of Lodonal as an immune booster for HIV+ patients.

Alkermes Plc (NASDAQ:ALKS) sank 36% to US$38.60. The biopharmaceutical company said two late-stage studies of its treatment for major depressive disorder didn’t meet their primary endpoints.
