Anglesey Mining plc (LON:AYM) announced that Roger Turner has resigned as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

“Roger has been a director for over ten years and the company thanks him for his significant contribution during all that period of time, and wishes him the best of success and health in the future.”

BATM Advanced Communications Limited (LON:BATM) has appointed Harel Locker as an external director as required under Israeli law.

Locker brings to the board 15 years’ experience as a commercial lawyer, previously working for the Israeli government.

Satellite Solutions Worldwide Group plc (LON:SAT) has appointed chief technology officer Simon Clifton as director.

Simon was one of the founding members of the Company and has served as Chief Technology Officer following since its inception.

Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd (LON:FOG, CVE:FO) has told investors that early gas flow rates from the horizontal Amungee NW-1H well, in Australia’s Beetaloo basin, are encouraging.

The flow regularly exceeded rates of one million cubic feet per day, and were consistently between 0.4 and 0.6 million cubic feet per day.

It is a time of “renewed optimism” for Providence Resources PLC (LON:PVR), says chief executive Tony O’Reilly, who in this morning’s interim results highlighted the company’s solid balance sheet and significantly enhanced financial strength.

O’Reilly also put the spotlight on the Druid exploration project, where he says drilling is planned in the near term.

Patagonia Gold plc (LON:PGD) surged back into profit as it rode a tailwind of higher gold prices, weak currency and an improving political situation.

The Argentina–based miner saw a US$10mln turnaround from losses into a profit of US$3.6mln in the six months to June, as production jumped by 70% to 16,900 ounces while cash costs almost halved to US$591 per oz.

Porta Communications PLC (PTCM) said the outlook was “undoubtedly strengthening” after reporting that a decent start to the year had been derailed by the UK’s vote to quit Europe.

"After the first five months the group was running ahead of budget,” said chief executive David Wright.

The recovery at security solutions provider Westminster Group PLC (LON:WSG) gained momentum in the first half of the year.

The group has had to deal with the effects of the Ebola crisis at its African operations, while dealing with the decline in activity in some of its markets that was sparked by the oil price collapse, but the performance this year suggests the company has put the dark days behind it.
