Fission's 2009 winter exploration program identifies 2 new high priority targets at Waterbury Lake
Fission Energy Corp said it has identified two promising exploration targets during its ongoing winter program at its Waterbury Lake uranium project, located in the northeast part of the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan.
Exploration has focused on the Discovery Bay Zone adjacent to Hathor's Roughrider Zone uranium discovery and north of the AREVA/Denison Midwest project. The most encouraging new areas tested are called Talisker and Disco Bay, located approximately 1000 metres and 500 metres west of Discovery Bay, respectively, and exhibiting excellent potential for unconformity style uranium mineralization.
Fission is exploring the area with its joint venture partner, the KEPCO consortium.
