EMED Mining said that visual inspection of a drill core taken at the Slatinske Lazy Prospect in Slovakia suggested the mineralisation was 'very similar' to that discovered at Biely Vrch, where EMED has confirmed the presence of a potentially large tonnage, low grade gold porphyry system. EMED said that both projects contain quartz vein stock work in potassic altered andesite porphyry, and the results suggest the Company may have found a cluster of porphyry gold systems.
Assay results are pending for the drill core at Slatinske Lazy, and EMED added that is would drill other targets identified in the area and attempt to drill more holes at Slatinske Lazy over the winter months despite snow cover. The company will also carry out infill drilling at Biely Vrch to generate a maiden JORC compliant resource estimate.
