RISERS

Acorn Minerals PLC (LON:ACO), up 51% at 13.25p. Investors have subscribed for 16.5mln shares at 15p a pop, raising the company £2.48mln.

LivaNova PLC (LON:LIVN), up 13%. The medtech company saw a small increase in sales in the second quarter, but is seeing strong growth in sales of some new products.

Thor Mining PLC (LON:THR), up 10%. The company’s shares are now traded on the SETSqx service.

FALLERS

Strategic Minerals PLC (LON:SML), down 11%. The company has received encouraging assay results from the maiden drill programme at its Hanns Camp project that have confirmed the existence of Nickel Sulphide and Platinum within the tenements

Xcite Energy Limited (LON:XEL), down 11%. The company has cautioned there is “material uncertainty” over its financial position as it continues to work on a debt restructuring deal ahead of a September 30 deadline.

Kakuzi Ld (LON:KAKU), down 10%. Half-year losses widened at the tea producer.

Energiser Investments PLC (LON:ENGI), up 50%. Following the issue of equity to Highlands Village Limited, non-executive chairman Stephen Wicks and executive director Nishith Malde have increased their indirect interest in the company due to their respective share holdings in HVL.

Non-Standard Finance PLC (LON:NSF), up 9.4%. The consumer finance company, which listed back in February of last year, has declared a maiden dividend of 0.3p.

Sareum Holdings Plc (LON:SAR), up 8.0%. The Chinese Patent Office and the Hong Kong Patents Registry have issued notifications that patents will be granted for inventions associated with Sareum's Aurora+FLT3 Kinase inhibitor programme.

FALLERS

Chagala Group Ltd (LON:CGLO), down 33%. TIPP Investments has filed a claim against the company and the individual members of the board in the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in the British Virgin Islands seeking damages.

Landore Resources Limited (LON:LND), down 15%. The explorer said drilling at its newly discovered gold zone, the Bam East gold prospect at the Junior Lake project, has extended the area.

Igas Energy PLC (LON:IGAS), down 10%. Igas has announced the appointment of Mike McTighe as the company’s new non-executive deputy chairman.

TechFinancials Inc (LON:TECH), up 56%. The creator of electronic platforms used in binary options trading said it was “increasingly confident” of meeting market expectations for the year.

Science in Sport PLC (LON:SIS), up 14%. The company announced it is the official sports nutrition supplier to USA Cycling, the official governing body for all disciplines of competitive cycling in the United States.

Milestone Group PLC (LON:MSG), up 9.1%. The shares rose to 0.60p as the company, not for the first time, issued shares at a premium to the prevailing market price. The company issued 54.9mln shares at a penny a pop.

FALLERS

Aggreko PLC (LON:AGK), down 14%. Half-year profits slumped to £71mln, excluding exceptional items, from £102mln the year before.

Kibo Mining PLC (LON:KIBO), down 11%. Policy changes currently being considered by the Tanzanian Government may cause a slight delay in completing the integrated bankable feasibility study.

Active Energy Group PLC (LON:AEG), down 8.7% at 2.9p. The company raised £2.05mln to support its wood fibre expansion strategy. The shares were placed at 2.65p each.
