Temex Resources to begin silver exploration program at Gowganda

Canadian explorer Temex Resources Corp. (CVE:TME) has launched an exploration program at its Gowganda silver property in northeastern Ontario, the company said Thursday.
The property contains the Miller Lake O'Brien silver mine, the largest past-producing Cobalt-style silver mine outside of Cobalt, Ontario. The mine has historical production of 40.7 million ounces of silver at an average grade of 22 ounces per ton.
An initial 2,000 metre drill program has been designed to test for extensions of several high grade silver veins, which were reported by previous operator, Sandy K Mines.
Additional holes have also been planned to test other near-surface targets, identified from a soil sampling program by Temex last year.
Temex said all of the holes in the upcoming drill campaign will be drilled from surface, and will range from 50 to 200 metres in length.
Gowganda is located just 20 kilometres east of the company's Juby property, where it is currently working to expand the NI 43-101 compliant resource.
