Virginia Mines sells Dieppe Property to Agnico Eagle for shares

Virginia Mines (TSX:VGQ) said it would sell 52 mining claims in the Abitibi region of Quebec to Agnico Eagle Mines for $1 million in shares of Agnico Eagle. The claims make up the Dieppe property, which lies within the Casa Berardi fault - the host to the Casa Berardi gold deposit.

Agnico Eagle will issue a further $1 million in shares if it reports an indicated resource of 1 million ounces on the property.
