Rock Tech Lithium closes second tranche of private placement financing

Vancouver, B.C.-based Rock Tech Lithium (CVE:RCK) reported Wednesday that it has closed the second tranche of its private placement financing, raising nearly $1 million.

In the second tranche, which consists of both non-brokered and brokered offerings, the lithium explorer sold 2.19 million flow-through units at a price of 30 cents each, and 1.2 million non flow-through units for a price of 25 cents each, for total proceeds of $958,327.

Each flow-through unit consists of one flow-through common share and one half of one share purchase warrant. Additionally, each non-flow-through unit consists of one non-flow-through common share, and one half of one share purchase warrant.

Each full warrant gives the holder the right to buy one additional common share for 60 cents for a period of two years, expiring on June 29, 2013.

Rock Tech said cash commissions and broker warrants were also paid.

The first tranche, which Rock Tech closed in May, sold 3.8 million flow-through units at cost of 30 cents each, and 10.4 million non-flow-through units for 25 cents each, for proceeds of $3.78 million.

Proceeds from the offering will be used for the second phase exploration program at Georgia Lake in Ontario, and for conducting geophysical work and surface exploration at Rock Tech's two lithium projects in Quebec.

Rock Tech is a Canada-based resource company focused on the exploration and development of lithium mineral deposits. The company has a 100% stake in lithium properties in the Kapiwak Pegmatite Region in the James Bay area of north western Quebec, and the Georgia Lake area of the Thunder Bay Mining District of northwest Ontario.
