Condor Gold (LON:CNR) has unearthed another very high grade sample at its scout drilling and exploration programme at La India in Nicaragua.
A rock chip containing 142.2g/t gold was unearthed at the Los Limones prospect just 30m from a 53.9g/t sample found earlier.
Los Limones is 9km north of the main La India deposit and Condor is carrying out scout drilling and soil sampling to better understand the geology of the licence area.
Mark Child, Condor’s chief executive, said the initial interpretation of the soil survey, combined with helicopter borne geophysics, structural and regional mapping, is that there are two major feeder zones.
“The La India Corridor is better understood and hosts 90% of the Project's high grade mineral resource of 18.08 M tonnes at 4.0 g/t (2.31 M oz gold).
“The Andrea Corridor is less well understood and is the focus of the current 4,000m scout drilling programme".
Condor is about halfway through its 313 sq km soil sampling programme and has completed just over a quarter of its 4,00om of scout drilling.
He added that unearthing the latest high grade rock chip so close to the previous one was very encouraging.
