Drilling results are expected over coming months

King River Copper Ltd's (ASX:KRC) non-executive chairman, Tony Barton, has increased his stake through on-market buying.

Barton and associates snapped up 10 million shares for a consideration of circa $58,000.

This increased the stake in the company to 14.17%.

King River recently commenced its Phase 1 reverse circulation drilling of 2,350 metres at the wholly-owned Speewah Dome project in Western Australia.

Drilling will focus around the large and untested Barton’s structure, which is interpreted to be the main controlling structure for gold, silver and copper mineralisation in the northern part of the Speewah Dome.

During the preceding month, ground magnetic surveys and reconnaissance have been undertaken along the Barton's Trend structure.

This early work has infilled some large gaps in the data obtained in the 2016 season.
