Advanced Oncotherapy PLC (LON:AVO) has reiterated to investors once again that it is making good progress with the development of its Harley Street facility in central London.

The proton therapy specialist confirmed last month that the site will be ready for the installation of AVO’s first LIGHT cancer treatment machine by the first half of 2019, with a view to treating the first patient in 2020.

A video has been published showing the headway being made at Harley Street, with one of the directors of Deconstruct – the principal contractor to the project – claiming that “all is going good so far”.

Advanced Onco added that, even in the short period since the filming of the video, work has moved up a gear once more, with piling – which will form the foundations – underway.

“This video and the progress made to be able to begin piling clearly show how far we've come in developing the site at Harley Street,” said chief executive Nicolas Serandour.

“The extent of the work done so far is clear, we are confident of delivering within the timescales we provided.

“Deconstruct are a highly experienced firm and we have every confidence they will meet our expectations in completing the rebuild on schedule.”
