A look at what was piquing interest after hours in New York

After a mixed finish overall on Wall Street, Juniper Networks Inc (NYSE:JNPR) shares after the bell shed 9% to US$26.94 after a media report  stating that mobile phone giant Nokia was in talks to buy the networking products developer for about US$16 billion.

Meanwhile,  Semtech Corp (NASDAQ:SMTC) shares  shed 8.76% after the bell at US$33.35  after the vhip[ maker posted a beat on quarterly earnings but predicted a decline in sales and profit in its fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, Box Inc (NYSE:BOX), the cloud content firm, was in play last night.

Shares fell over 6% to US$20.60 after the bell in New York, despite it posting results, which beat Wall Street expectations.

But it was a bigger loss from the third quarter from a year ago, after heavy spending on marketing to ward off competition.

Meanwhile, shares of Jack in the Box (NASDAQ:JACK) plunged over 5% to US$97.87 after the fast food firm posted earnings and revenue, which missed analyst expectations.
