Renaissance Gold unveils encouraging gold finds at Jupiter project in Nevada

Prospect generator firm Renaissance Gold Inc (CVE:REN) has unveiled encouraging gold drill results from the Jupiter project in Nye county, Nevada.

The phase 1, seven-hole RC (reverse circulation), drilling program was completed by partner Ramelius Resources Ltd and tested two targets - the NE pediment gravity target and the Eagle target.

Anomalous gold was found in four of the six holes that were sunk in the NE Pediment Gravity Target, with the best intercept of 9.14 meters (m) grading 1.10 g gold/ton in one hole.

Highlight intercepts included 1.52 m at 2 g/t gold and 9.14m at 1.10 g/t gold. Another hole showed 4.57m at 0.27 g/t gold.

"We are quite pleased to encounter meaningful gold intercepts in our first drill program at Jupiter, and very much look forward to further drilling to test these and other target areas," said Robert Felder, president and chief executive.

"Our 2017 drilling programmes on six, partner funded projects has been successful in identifying two Carlin-type systems under cover at Jupiter and Spruce East that have encountered significant anomalous to gram plus mineralisation warranting follow up."

Shares were unchanged at C$0.30.
