Landore Resources Ltd (LON:LND) said it has begun drilling at its BAM East gold deposit at the Junior Lake property in Ontario, Canada.
The AIM-listed precious metals explorer said a total of 12,000 metres of NQ and HQ diamond core drilling is planned to complete during the spring and summer of 2018, focusing on further delineation and an extension of the 400,000 ounce gold resource as reported.

Landore added that previous drilling has outlined gold mineralisation at the BAM East and BAM Gold deposits, but the area between the two, approximately 860 metres in length, was largely untested.
The firm said in-fill drilling had the potential to expand, and possibly connect, the two areas and establish additional mineral resources. The deposits remain open down dip, providing additional exploration potential to target for future drill programmes on Junior Lake.
The commencement of drilling followed an independent report on April 11, which indicated ‘excellent potential’ for the size of the BAM East gold deposit to be expanded.
In early morning trading, Landore shares were steady at 1.46p.
