The company intends to vigorously defend itself in this matter

A court hearing has been scheduled for August 10 to consider an application to place BlueRock Diamonds PLC’s (LON:BRD) operating subsidiary, Kareevlei Mining, into provisional liquidation.

The application has been made by the company’s former chief executive, Riaan Visser.

Visser has previously claimed that he is owed ZAR 3.78mln by Kareevlei Mining in relation to advances made by him to the company plus ZAR 987,525 for Kareevlei’s use of a generator controlled by him.

BlueRock's legal advice remains that the provisional liquidation application instituted by Visser is without merit.
