Li3 Energy appoints three members to its board of directors

Li3 Energy (OTCBB:LIEG) announced Friday it appointed Patricio Campos, Eduardo de Aguirre, and Alan S. Fraser to its board of directors.

They will join Li3's CEO Luis Saenz, David Wahl, Harvey McKenzie, and Hyundai Kim on the board.

With over 39 years of experience in the industry, Campos currently serves as CEO of Algorta Norte. He is also a former Professor of Mining Economy at the Universidad de Chile.

De Aguirre brings over 35 years of experience with him to the board, including his work in business development, project management, and finance. He is currently serving as Legal Representative to General Dynamics Installation Services, building and commissioning radio telescopes for the ALMA Project, valued at $150 million.

Fraser currently serves as Managing Director of P3 Consultores and has over 24 years of experience.

Li3 CEO Luis Saenz said: "We are both pleased and humbled that we were able to attract individuals of this caliber to our Board of Directors, and their involvement provides Li3 with valuable leadership and expertise as we execute the Exploration and Development Program on our flagship Maricunga project.

"We also want to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Anthony Hawkshaw, who has resigned from our board to focus on other interests, for his invaluable contributions and service to Li3 where his counsel was instrumental in helping our company achieve its objectives since our inception."

Li3 shares were down 3.67 percent on Friday afternoon to $0.105.
