Bravo Gold Corp. (CVE:BVG) said Thursday that it has encountered high grade silver-polymetallic mineralization in three of four core holes along the Illiance River trend, located on the eastern side of its Kinskuch project in northwestern British Columbia.

Highlights from the latest drilling include a 2.8 metre interval averaging 318 grams per tonne (g/t) of silver, 0.4 g/t gold, 2.2% lead, and 6.5% zinc, which includes a 0.7 metre interval grading 735 g/t silver, 0.82 g/t gold, 3.5% lead, and 11.3% zinc from drill hole KN11-002.

Junior miner Focus Metals (CVE:FMS) has appointed professional geoscientist Marc-André Bernier to its board of directors effective immediately, the company said Thursday.

Selwyn Resources (CVE:SWN) said Thursday it has commissioned a helicopter-borne electromagnetic (VTEM) geophysical survey to test its large mineral claim holdings in Nova Scotia.

Western Canadian junior oil and gas company Aroway Energy (CVE:ARW) said Thursday that it has started field work on a 55 square kilometre 3D seismic program, together with its  joint venture partner, a privately-held Calgary-based business.

The 3D data acquisition will shoot over a portion of Aroway lands recently acquired at crown land sales, and lands acquired through acquisitions, the company said.
