Guerrero appoints geological engineer to advisory board
Guerrero Exploration (CVE:GEX) announced Monday that geological engineer Michelle Robinson has joined its advisory board as the company proceeds with its work and exploration plans for this year.
Robsinson has over 21 years worth of exploration experience in Canada and Latin America. She has a bachelor of applied science and master of applied science from the University of British Columbia.
Prior to moving to Mexico, Robinson authored technical papers on volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits and was the recipient of many awards in the mining sector.
Currently, she is serving as director at Zinco Mining (CVE:ZIM) and has also authored NI 43-101 technical reports for many clients such as: Oro Mining (CVE:OGR), August Metal (CVE:AGP), and Everton Resources (CVE:EVR).
In addition, Robinson is also currently serving as president for Minera Camargo S.A. de C.V. and Minera Croesus S.A. de C.V., both operating mining and exploration companies in Mexico.
Guerrero's chief executive, David Stadnyk, said: "We are very pleased to welcome Ms. Robinson to the Guerrero advisory board. Ms. Robinson has extensive experience in Mexico and will provide assistance to the company as it proceeds with its work program and exploration plans for the coming year.
Stadnyk added that: she "will strengthen our ability to meet our objectives and realize our strategic vision for the company in Mexico."
Guerrero Exploration is a Canadian-based mineral exploration company with a focus on Mexican gold, copper and silver mining areas known as the Guerrero Gold Belt, Southern Mexican Gold Belt and the Sierra Madre Occidental Belt.
The Guerrero gold belt is located in the state of Guerrero, Mexico and has produced over 15 million ounces of gold to date.
It extends for at least 55 kilometres from the southeast to the northwest and remains open to exploration in all directions.
The company is earning a 70 percent stake in the Chapalota gold project through a joint venture deal with Riverside Resources (CVE:RRI).
