Sacre-Coeur Minerals finds more gold
Sacre-Coeur plc (TSX-V: SCM), the mineral exploration company focused on Guyana, South America, announced further results from its ongoing exploration programs.
Channel sampling across a surface expression in the Northwest Project Area returned encouraging results including 4.1 metres apparent width across a exposed quartz vein which averaged 6.9 grams per tonne gold, including 1.4 metres grading 17.63 grams per tonne gold. Sacre-Coeur said the geological setting at the new zone was similar to that of recently announced trench results at the Northwest Project. Additional mechanised trenching is ongoing to identify drill ready targets. As part of the anticipated drilling, the Company said it had purchased a track mounted core drill to commence around the clock drilling later this month.
Irwin Olian, CEO, said:
“We are certainly excited about the new zone discovered some 20 km. to the Northeast of our original discovery in the Northwest Project area. Other strong targets have also been identified on trend. We are looking forward to the commencement of core drilling on site in a few weeks as we move forward with our second major project in Guyana.”
