Rambler Metals & Mining

Rambler Metals and Mining was established to invest in the base metal sector in politically stable jurisdictions. Its principal project is the Rambler Cu-Au property, located on the Baie Verte Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

Currently undergoing a mine dewatering program, Rambler  is well on track to have the mine completely dewatered during Q2 2008. Water levels have already receded to the 1800 level and the mine is in excellent condition requiring minimal rehabilitation.
Location

The Rambler Property is located in Canada, on Newfoundland and Labrador' Baie Verte Peninsula. The area has a history and culture of gold, base metals and industrial minerals mining. The major centre for the region is the town of Baie Verte, which offers several mining and exploration service providers, deep water loading, hotels, schools, shopping, medical facilities and recreational facilities.

Rambler intersects high grade gold, copper and zinc zone at Ming Mine

The most recent assay results, from ongoing drilling at the Ming Copper Mine in Eastern Canada, certainly warranted a bit of boasting by the company today.  The highlight of the most recent batch of results from drilling including an impressive 8.7 metres grading 30.93 grams per tonne gold, 2.14% copper and 7.98% zinc.

The Ming Mine was originally run as a copper mine with some gold and base metal credits, but drilling of the 1806 Zone has lifted the potential of a significant gold resource in addition to the copper which in light of recent metal price activity, could be vital to the project’s economics.

According to Ramlber, the 1806 Zone lies directly adjacent to an area recently dewatered by the company, near the northern boundary of the Ming Massive Sulphide Zone.  Rambler is clearly excited about the potential of the 1806 Zone, which is still open both up and down plunge and has now been recorded over 550 metres.

Additional drilling at the 1807 zone has also returned high grade copper, including 12.83% copper over 2.4 metres and 12.55% copper over 2.60 metres. Ramber said it believed the true thickness of the holes was in excess of 75% of the core length.

George Ogilvie, Chief Executive Officer, Rambler commented,

“We are very pleased by the latest drilling results which indicate that there could be a significant gold resource in addition to the 155,000 ounces of gold currently defined within our NI43‐101 resource estimate. This un‐mined resource is very close in proximity to our main ramp which would allow us to minimize capital and operating costs to mine the zone. The growing gold signature on the property is very encouraging as it has the potential to add value and flexibility to our mine plan, in turn creating value for our shareholders.”
