Friday's agenda: Acal expected to keep up the momentum

A quiet day is in prospect on the corporate front with attention more likely to be focused on the January non-farm payrolls figures from the USA.

Specialist electronics supplier Acal (LON:ACL) is set to issue a trading statement, following up from November’s upbeat interim results in which the group said momentum had continued into the new financial year.

“H2 started well and further growth in orders and steady sales were anticipated through to the year-end. We expect the Q3 IMS to confirm that these trends have continued,” said broker Peel Hunt, which reckons Acal is the top pick in sector.
