Motive Television (LON:MTV) says it will move from the development to the growth stage this year as its products move into commercial use.

The tablet TV specialist added that this would also happen as its Content Express platform is deployed at more broadcasters.

Television services provided by Mediaset in Italy and Digiturk in Turkey, based on Motive’s platform, have been commercially successful since 2009 and 2013 respectively.

Motive said it is discussing “further enhancements and extensions” with these broadcasters as it continues to provide support and maintenance to the duo.

It will also soon begin work in South Africa, installing and integrating its technology for Siyaya Free to Air TV, with the aim of launching later in 2014.

Meanwhile, the Tablet TV business is on track for product and market testing in the US this spring once the specified hardware is delivered, which the company says should lead to consumer trials and full-scale commercial launch at the start of September 2014.

T-Pods will be delivered from Asia in mid-March for technical and operational testing.

The tablet service is expected to launch in the UK by June, providing Freeview to British viewers in time for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The company said its financial results for 2013 are likely to be in line with the market’s expectations, with “better margins in its digital business sector, and a smaller operating loss showing continued growth and progress”.
