AFC Energy (LON:AFC) has unveiled plans to invest heavily in marketing this year as it heads towards the commercialisation of its fuel cells.
In the first half of 2014, the company, which is backed by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, will for the first time participate in several global hydrogen energy conferences and exhibitions with its own stand to promote its business.
Its chief executive Ian Williamson will give a keynote speech at the World Hydrogen Energy Conference in South Korea in June.
Before that, the AIM-listed group will attend the European Hydrogen Energy Conference in Seville in March, followed by the Euro Chlor conference in Madrid at the beginning of April.
In last week’s financial results, the company said it expects to deploy its first 250 kilowatt commercial grade cell in the coming financial year.
