Aureus Mining adds venture capitalist to board

David Beatty has resigned as a director of Aureus Mining (LON:AUE) to be replaced by venture capital specialist Loudon Owen.

Owen, an international businessman and lawyer, co-founded and manages McLean Watson Capital, a private Toronto-based venture capital company. He currently serves on the boards of a range of private corporations including Quantec Geoscience Limited, as well as Kilo Goldmines Ltd, Genesis Land Development, and Posera-HDX.

“His depth of experience will complement the current team in our efforts to complete the construction of the New Liberty Gold Project,” said David Netherway, chairman of Aureus Mining.

“On behalf of the board, I would also like to thank David for his valuable contribution to the board and wish him well in his new ventures," he added.
