Fastjet (LON:FAST), the budget African airline, today announced it is expanding its network with more flights connecting to Tanzania’s capital Dar es Salaam.
Due to customer demand Fastjet is adding four return flights per week between Dar es Salaam and Mwanza, in north west Tanzania.
These additional flights increase the number of weekly flights on this route to 25, and they will take place on Sundays, Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays,
The first of the extra flights will take place at the start of August, and ticket go on sale immediately.
Also, an additional weekly flight is being added to the Dar es Salaam to Lusaka route, increasing the number of weekly flights to four.
“We are thrilled to be adding these flights to our existing schedule,” said chief commercial officer Richard Brodin.
“Fastjet has been the dominant operator on the important Dar es Salaam to Mwanza route for some time and these extra rotations will give our passengers greater choice and flexibility when travelling to and from Dar es Salaam.
"Adding another flight per week to Lusaka demonstrates the popularity of our international offeringand that the Zambian market is embracing Fastjet's service and prices.
