Accesso Technology furthers Asian ambitions with partnership

Accesso Technology (LON:ACSO) has inked an agreement to expand its reach into the fast-growing South Korean theme park market.

The three year partnership is with Vision Works Global, which brokers deals and consults with a range of entertainment projects in the country.

South Korea's theme park market is growing fast and the top parks have enjoyed a 10% increase in attendance.

Meanwhile, the country's investment in theme parks and such destination is helping attract visitors from Southeast Asia and Mainland China, where there has been an increase in disposable income.

Accesso chief executive Tom Burnet said: "This partnership represents another significant milestone for our company as we look to extend our presence in the important Asian market.

"The theme park and attractions industry in South Korea has abundant opportunity for growth and expansion, and has also reached a level of maturity where operators are placing a greater emphasis on the guest experience and revenue optimisation."

Jin Wook Choi, CEO of Vision Works Global, added: "The monetisation of queue lines is a revolutionary concept for many of our clients particularly in terms of driving additional revenue streams."

More than 400 attractions around the world currently employ accesso technology - from theme parks and water parks to ski and snow parks.
