East West Resource buys out partner and takes full control of Eva Kitto platinum property
East West Resource Corp said it is taking full control of the Eva Kitto property in the Beardmore area by taking over Mega Uranium Ltd’s 50 percent stake in the platinum property.
Mega will receive 200,000 East West shares and 0.5 percent net smelter royalty worth US$ 500,000.
East West Resource is a Canadian focused exploration company based in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The company explores for copper, zinc, nickel and precious metals in northwestern Ontario. Its flagship properties are Marshall Lake, Norton McFaulds and Shebandowan.
The company’s Marshall Lake property consists of 9 claims plus 86 leased claims with an area of 163.8 square kilometres and is located approximately 252 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay.
The company has made the most substantial exploration effort on the Marshall Lake copper-zinc-silver-gold property with drill programs conducted in December 2006, May-September 2007 and May-June 2008.
The Norton-McFaulds project, 400 km west of James Bay in Northern Ontario, consists of 11 claim blocks within a 600,000 square kilometre area in the James Bay Lowlands that has been subject to extensive claim staking and exploration activity as a consequence of a spectacular discovery of copper-nickel-PGE by Noront Resources in August 2007.
Shebandowan comprises a series of near surface copper gold showings west of Thunder Bay. The property sits on the main CP railway line, close to the Trans Canada highway and is road accessible all year round. The key land areas here are called Deaty and Hamlin.
