IGas (LON:IGAS) can go ahead with a coal bed methane project in North Wales, it told investors.

The company revealed in a stock market statement that Dart Energy has won an appeal after a previous planning application was refused by Wrexham County Borough Council.

It grants permission for Dart to drill a single coal bed methane exploration well in Holt, near Wrexham. Samples from the well will be sent for lab analysis.

IGas agreed a share-based deal to acquire Dart in May. At that time the arrangements valued Dart at £117.1mln.
