Silver Standard Resources intersects More High-Grade Silver at Maverick Springs

Silver Standard Resources reported further positive drill results from the Maverick Springs Silver Project, where it is acting as operator. Maverick Springs is located in north-eastern Nevada, at the south-east end of the world famous Carlin Trend belt which hosts dozens of gold-silver deposits.  Silver Standard's joint venture partner is Allied Nevada Gold Corp.

Highlights included 180 feet grading 8.1 ounces of silver per ton and 0.009 ounces of gold per ton in drill hole MR-182.  MR-181 intersected 155 feet of 1.9 ounces of silver per ton and 0.007 ounces of gold per ton, while MR-183 cut 95 feet grading 2.8 ounces of silver per ton and 0.022 ounces of gold per ton.

Silver Standard holds the rights to the silver resources, which consist of 69.6 million ounces of indicated silver resources and 85.6 million ounces of inferred silver resources.
