US Gold extends potential of El Gallo and Palmarito Silver-Gold Discoveries
US Gold Corp (TSX:UXG) announced additional drilling from two projects within the Magistral District, located in Sinaloa State, Mexico.
Highlights emanated from El Gallo and Palmarito, both returning high grade silver potential. At El Gallo, a discovery recently announced by US Gold, drill intercepts included 70 grams per tonne gold and 180 grams per tonne silver over 1.5 metres with a wider 4.6 metre section grading 25.9 grams per tonne gold and 112 grams per tonne silver. Drilling at El Gallo also extended the length of the strike to 130 metres, and appeared to suggest that the silver-gold mineralization was trending to the north. The El Gallo discovery still remains open to the north, east and west, the Company added.
Meanwhile at Palmarito, where US Gold recently released a 43-101 resource statement, drill results testing the south-west zone “continue to expand and return high-grade mineralization”. Highlights from drilling included an impressive 363 grams per tonne silver over 22.9 metres, including a bonanza silver zone of 1,130 grams per tonne silver over 1.5 metres. The drill results also increased the width of the zone to 110 metres.
US Gold reported a measured and indicated resource at Palmarito of 8.5 million ounces of silver and 16,500 ounces of gold within 3.8 million tonnes of material with an average grade of 70 grams per tonne silver and 0.14 grams per tonne gold plus an additional inferred resource of 3.3 million ounces of silver and 5,800 ounces of gold within 1.6 million tonnes averaging 65.5 grams per tonne silver and 0.11 grams per tonne gold.
