San Gold releases NI 43-101 report for Rice Lake
San Gold Resources (TSX-V: SGR, PINK:SGRCF), a gold exploration and mining company based in Manitoba, Canada, announced today its NI 43-101 compliant report for its Rice Lake Project, reporting measured plus indicated resources of 2.5 million tons of gold with a grade of 11.7 grams per tonne. Inferred resources totalled 6.2 million tons with a grade of 9.9 grams per tonne.
The Rice Lake Project consists of the Rice Lake, Hinge and SG1 mines as well as the 007, Cartwright, SG2/3 and Cohiba zones.
The Rice Lake Mine, originally built in 1934, is one of San Gold’s producing mines. The mine has been mined to depths of 5,500 feet with current development and production taking place between 4,500 feet and 5,500 feet.
The Hinge Mine, located 1.5 kms to the north east of the Rice Lake Mine, is San Gold’s second producing mine. Mining is currently taking place about 400 feet below surface.
The 007 Zone, which is located 2,100 feet south east of the Hinge Mine, currently has 135 drill holes completed for a total of 135, 000 feet. Site preparation has begun in order to gain access to the upper 007 Zone, an initial area of the Cohiba zone.
