More than 25,000 units have been installed in North America, Asia, Europe and Australia for Smartcool customers such as supermarkets, food distributors, telecommunications companies, hospitals, hotels, universities and energy companies.
Smartcool wins Contractor status in BC Hydro's ‘Power Smart Alliance’
Smartcool Systems Inc said it has become a registered contractor in BC Hydro's "Power Smart Alliance”, which has created many programs that accomodate residential, commercial and industrial customers. The company hopes to gain widespread exposure through these programs.
BC Hydro provides its client base with in-depth information and financial incentives to help customers to reduce energy consumption and, in so doing, reduce costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
President and chief executive George Burnes said: "Becoming a contractor under the Power Smart Alliance is extremely important to Smartcool as it will make it easier for us to provide a proven energy reduction solution to those businesses in British Columbia that are committed to achieving environmental sustainability."
Smartcool Systems manufactures and distributes the Smartcool Energy Saving Module, which makes refrigeration and air conditioning systems more efficient. The Smartcool ESM can be retrofitted to existing refrigeration and air conditioning systems and is compatible with all known control systems.
