InterOil

InterOil Corporation is developing a vertically integrated energy business whose primary focus is Papua New Guinea and the surrounding region. InterOil's assets consist of petroleum licenses covering about 8.7 million acres, an oil refinery, and retail and commercial distribution facilities, all located in Papua New Guinea.

InterOil is also a shareholder in a joint venture established to construct Papua New Guinea's first LNG plant on a site adjacent to InterOil's refinery in Port Moresby.

InterOil to log Antelope appraisal well before drilling further

InterOil Corp said it has successfully drilled 2,041 feet into the Antelope reservoir and plans to log the appraisal well before drilling ahead to fully evaluate it.


The top of the reservoir was intersected at 5,735 feet.


The forward program is to log the well, core the lower section from 7,776 feet to 7,953 in order to acquire reservoir data and to evaluate the heavy condensate seen at Elk-4. Once coring operations are complete, the plan is to drill ahead conventionally to approximately 8,200 feet and test and fully evaluate the well.
