Forum Uranium increases planned fundraising to C$560,000

Forum Uranium Corp said it is raising the amount it plans to raise from its non-brokered private placement announced in mid-December 2008 to CDN$560,000 from the previously announced CDN$500,000 due to a strong response from investors.


The amended financing will be completed through the issue of up to 1.2 million units at a price of CDN$0.05 per unit, with each consisting of one common share and one-half share purchase warrant.


Forum added it has closed the first tranche of this private placement, having raised CDN$397,500 through the issuance of 6,150,000 Flow through common shares and 1,800,000 units at a price of CDN$0.05.
Proceeds from this financing will be used for exploration work on the Athabasca Basin and Thelon Basin uranium projects and for general working capital.
