Columbia Yukon Explorations is a mineral exploration company. Its most advanced property is the Storie molybdenum deposit located near the historic mining camp of Cassiar, B.C. The Storie deposit has a February 2009 NI 43-101 compliant Indicated and Measured Resource of 139.82 M/tonnes grading 0.064% and 58.39 M/tonnes of Inferred Resource grading 0.059% Mo at a 0.030% cut off.
Columbia Yukon drill results continue to expand potential at Storie Molybdenum Project
Columbia Yukon Explorations Inc. (TSX-V:CYU) said that it was "extremely pleased" to announce additional assay results from its Storie molybdenum deposit in British Columbia.
Eight additional drill holes (ST08-130 to 137) all intersected "significant molybdenum mineralization", five of theholes reported on were outside the current resource area.
Ronald A. Coombes, President and CEO said:
“We continue to be extremely pleased with the assay results from the 2008 drill program, which indicate significant molybdenum mineralization well beyond the boundaries of the known resource area. The Company looks forward to the updated NI 43-101, expected later 1st Quarter 2009.”
Drill highlights included:
- Drill hole ST08-130 intersected 423 metres grading 0.057% Mo, including 144 metres grading 0.095% Mo;
- Drill hole ST08-131 intersected 123 metres grading 0.059% Mo, including 12 metres grading 0.117% Mo;
- Drill hole ST08-132 intersected 143 metres grading 0.055% Mo;
- Drill hole ST08-133 intersected 204 metres grading 0.034% Mo, including 81 metres grading 0.043% Mo;
- Drill hole ST08-134 intersected 37 metres grading 0.059% Mo;
- Drill hole ST08-135 intersected 368 metres grading 0.051% Mo, including 154 metres grading 0.081% Mo and 65 metres grading 0.117% Mo;
- Drill hole ST08-136 intersected 308 metres grading 0.071% Mo, including 225 metres grading 0.086% Mo and 78 metres grading 0.126% Mo;
- Drill hole ST08-137 intersected 276 metres grading 0.054% Mo, including 36 metres grading 0.097% Mo and 141 metres grading 0.067% Mo.
Columbia Yukon has now reported assay results from 42 of a 49 drill hole campaign.
