Rambler Metals says testing at Baie Verte produces commercially viable copper concentrate
Rambler Metals and Mining PLC said metallurgical testing of ore samples from the 1807 zone of its its copper - gold property located near Baie Verte, Newfoundland, showed encouraging results with the copper concentrate grade averaging 29.1 percent and average copper recovery of 92.4 percent. All harmful materials including zinc, lead, arsenic, bismuth and mercury were below the maximum allowable values for a typical copper concentrate.
The lock cycle testing also produced precious metal recovery of 67.5 percent gold and 52.5 percent. Rambler plans further testing to optimize the recovery of precious metals.
President and chief executive George Ogilvie said: “The lock cycle metallurgical testing has shown that a commercially viable copper concentrate can be produced, that results in a high grade product through the use of a common reagent scheme.
"These results will enable Rambler to define the final design of the concentrator and maximise the economic returns for the Ming Mine."
