According to Capstone's earnings call presentation and transcript the addressable markets for Capstone’s products are estimated to be in excess of $14.6 billion annually, with potential targeted capture for Capstone of $1.5 billion over the next 7 to 10 years

The battle for ownership of Chloride Group took another twist this morning after Emerson Electric trumped an offer from rival ABB Limited

Share in Intelek jumped 100% on the confirmation of the bid, not surprising considering the offer from NYSE listed Teledyne Technologies was a 105% premium to Intelek’s closing price yesterday.

Although the company reported encouragingly strong third quarter earnings, cost cutting rather than significantly rejuvenated demand was the driving force. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing of course. 

Taiwan Semiconductor’s (TSM) first and second quarters’ operational performance are set to be polar opposites. The opening three months of the year delivered the worst sequential decline in sales since the company’s inception. The three months to June 2009 on the other hand is on track for the greatest rate of quarterly revenue growth in its history.
