Newly-listed social network Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) is facing several lawsuits claiming that information was hidden from shareholders regarding the company’s weakened growth forecasts ahead of its $16-billion initial public offering (IPO) last week.

Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) late Thursday posted a 61% jump in first-quarter earnings on slightly higher-than-expected sales, and announced a special dividend that would act as a stock split for shareholders.
