Vancouver-based West Kirkland Mining (CVE:WKM) rallied 14% Wednesday afternoon as investors eagerly results from the TUG deposit in Utah. 

The firm, West Kirkland Mining, which is advancing its TUG deposit in Utah, will make a 20 minute pitch followed by a 10 minute inquisition by a roomful of potential Dragons.

West Kirkland Mining (CVE:WKM) says that Newmont Mining (TSE:NMC) (NYSE:NEM) has exercised its rights under an agreement inked back in December 2010 to acquire 35 per cent of certain mineral rights for six sections of the TUG property in Utah. 

West Kirkland Mining (CVE:WKM) saw its shares rise higher Thursday, exceeding its 50-day average volume. The company's shares were lately trading at 36 cents, up around 7.5 per cent.

Kirkland Lake Gold (TSE:KGI)(AIM:KGI) shares rallied after the company revealed impressive operational results for its fiscal fourth quarter, which analysts say mark a "stellar end" to a year in which the company regained mining access to the higher grade ores at its Macassa mine. Shares jumped 10 percent in afternoon trading in Toronto.
