Black Smoker Ventures is presently focused on the exploration of the Fox Lake Property in Manitoba, Canada. Black Smoker’s 100% owned Fox Lake VMS Project consists of ground covering the former producing Fox Lake Copper Mine. A total of approximately 12 million tonnes grading 1.82 % copper and 1.78% zinc was produced from the Fox Mine in the years 1970 to 1985, according to the Manitoba Mineral Resources Division. Black Smoker Ventures has now completed the first modern deep penetrating geophysical survey on the property resulting in the identification of multiple targets.

The commodity-heavy Standard & Poor’s/TSX Composite Index (TSE:OSPTX) slid 0.2 percent to 12,633.81 at 12:38 p.m. in Toronto on Friday. The 237-member gauge has gained 1.6 percent this month. The materials subindex, which includes mining shares, fell 0.7 percent.
