Description
Fission Energy Corp is a newly created Canadian based uranium exploration and development company with properties in Saskatchewan's Athabasca basin, Alberta, Quebec and an international property in Peru. The Company's shares were recently spun-out as a distribution by Strathmore Minerals Corp (TSX-STM.V) Fission has one of the largest portfolio of exploration properties in the Athabasca basin: one of the richest uranium deposits in the world. Primary projects in the basin include Waterbury Lake, which surrounds the Areva-Denison Midwest deposit and Davy Lake, where a 51 km long conductor was identified during the 2006 field season. Davy Lake is the largest contiguous exploration block in the basin. At Dieter Lake in Quebec, a NI 43-101 inferred resource totaling 24 million pounds grading .057% U3O8 has been identified. Significant exploration potential exists to expand this resource.

Fission Energy Corp. holds one of the largest land packages in Canada's Uranium rich Athabasca basin as well as properties in Quebec, Alberta and Peru.

CANADA
Waterbury Lake, SK
Stage 2: Drilling
Fission 50% / Korea Waterbury Uranium Limited Partnership 50%

The 41,280 hectare (~102,000 acres) Waterbury Lake Property virtually surrounds the AREVA/Denison Midwest Uranium Deposit (41 million lbs U3O8 at an average grade of about 5.5% U3O8), and the Midwest "A" discovery within the east-central part of Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin. (Read More)
Dieter Lake, PQ
Historical Resource
The Dieter Lake Property consists of 496 mineral titles totalling approximately 23,836 hectares, located about 150 km north of Hydro-Quebec Reservoir LG-4.
Exploration of this region is considered sporadic, with the majority of significant activity occurring in the late 1970's and early 1980's by Uranerz Exploration and Mining. Extensive mapping and sampling programs were completed, involving the collection of rock, soil, lake water, and lake sediment samples. Airborne and ground geophysical programs were completed as well as diamond drilling, including at least 145 holes. At least four main areas of mineralization have been documented, from west to east: Vivian, Nancy I, Nancy II, and Bert's. (Read More)
Patterson Lake, SK
Stage 2: Drilling
The Patterson Lake Property was acquired through staking during the later part of 2004. The property is located within the south western part the Athabasca Basin in north western Saskatchewan, and comprises 9 claims totalling 25,316 hectares.
Exploration potential of the area is considered medium - high. Several strong conductors have been identified to the south via airborne and ground EM surveys. Exploration potential diminishes moving north due to greater depths to the unconformity and less defined conductive horizons. In addition, several potential kimberlitic bodies have been identified. Davy Lake, SK
Stage 1: Exploration
In December of 2004, thirteen Mineral Prospecting Permits (MPP) were acquired in northern Saskatchewan. (Read More)

North Shore, AB
Stage 1: Exploration
In the fall of 2006, ground scintillometer prospecting and a sampling program was completed on the North Shore permits. Exploration resulted in the identification of several areas of anomalous radioactivity. Between November 2006 and January 2007, an airborne VLF and magnetic survey over the North Shore Property was completed. (Read More)
South Shore, AB
Stage 1: Exploration

Between June 30th and July 19th 2006 an airborne GEOTEM electromagnetic and magnetic survey was conducted over the basin holdings south of Lake Athabasca including the western portion of the Athabasca South Shore Property. Several correlations of magnetic and electromagnetic data were found along with several basement hosted conductors identified throughout the property. Several potential kimberlite targets were also identified from the GEOTEM survey. (Read More)
Duddridge Lake, SK
Stage 3: Historical Resource
The Duddridge Lake Property is located near the eastern side of the northeast trending Wollaston Domain. The Wollaston Domain is generally comprised of siliciclastic metasediments and minor metavolcanics with inliers of Archean granitoids to the east, the Wollaston Domain is bound by the Needle Falls Shear Zone, a principal crustal structure. Typically, metamorphic grade increases rapidly towards the west, from lower amphibolite facies to upper amphibolite-granulite facies, where the Wollaston Domain borders the Mudjatik Domain.
Extensive uranium mineralization was discovered within a boulder train, and geochemical samples returned some anomalous results. (Read More)
Fort McLeod, AB
Stage 1: Exploration
The Company's Fort McLeod property is located in SouthWestern Alberta. The property totals approximately 900,000 acres (364,218 ha). The part of the western sedimentary basin covering southwestern Alberta is host to a number of uranium occurrences and showings, primarily hosted within the sandstones of the Tertiary Willow Creek formation.
Exploration in other parts of the region reportedly returned a number of grab samples in excess of .5% U308. (Read More)
PERU
Macusani, Peru
Stage 1: Exploration
The Macusani, property is located within southeastern Peru. Strathmore holds the rights to 9 claim blocks encompassing 51 km2, and surface rights over some of the areas with known uranium mineralization.
Within the area, the stratigraphy is dominated by the sub-horizontal Pliocene Quenamari Formation, which is mainly composed of ignimbrite layers. Uranium anomalies occur on plateaus that are composed of the Upper Yapamayo Member of the Quenamari Formation. Sampling to date has shown that the most significant uranium anomalies appear to be restricted to this assemblage. Mineralization within the area is dominated by very high grade Autinite veins along 'enriched fault planes', with lesser disseminated mineralization. The significant fault planes can vary from _ to 2 m thick, while multiple enriched fault planes occur in shear zones up to 150 m across. Autunite contains 51% uranium by weight and converts into 60% - 65% U3O8. (Read More)
