Company Statement:
Lipoxen develops and commercialises high-value, differentiated protein, vaccine and anti-cancer drug product candidates. The company’s strategy is to identify product candidates and to take them from an early stage of development into clinical trials.
At the appropriate stage of clinical development, Lipoxen outlicenses these protein, vaccine and anti-cancer drug product candidates to a partner. Partners are selected according to their ability to complete late phase clinical trials, obtain relevant regulatory approvals, manufacture the products and market them effectively.
Lipoxen’s three main technologies, PolyXen®, ImuXen® and VesicALL® are used as a platform for the company to:
- Develop its own protein, vaccine and anti-cancer new product candidates
- Co-develop new product candidates with partners
- Enable partners to improve their proprietary products
- Help partners to manage their product lifecycles more effectively
Current Operations:

PolyXen® for protein drug delivery

PolyXen® is a versatile enabling technology that uses the biopolymer polysialic acid to prolong the active life and improve the pharmacokinetics of therapeutic peptides and proteins, as well as conventional small molecule drugs. PolyXen® is potentially a next generation method to PEGylation for the delivery of protein drugs. (Read More)
ImuXen® for vaccine delivery

ImuXen® is an advanced enabling technology that uses liposome-based constructs to boost the effectiveness of DNA, protein and polysaccharide vaccines. ImuXen® can achieve protective immunity in a single dose. (Read More)
VesicALL® for anti-cancer drug delivery
VesicALL® is a highly efficient enabling technology for the formulation of anti-cancer treatment and other drugs using liposomal entrapment. Its proprietary method has increased the range of drugs which can be formulated in this way. (Read More)
