Robust Resources Limited (ASX: ROL) is a Sydney-based miner exploring for Gold-Silver and Base Metals on Romang Island in Indonesia’s richly endowed Banda Magmatic Arc, 650km northwest of Darwin.
Robust is exploring highly prospective ground previously explored by Biliton (1990s). An initial 2000m drilling program with the Lakuwahi Caldera Project has identified wide zones of gold-zinc-silver-lead-copper mineralisation. All holes completed in the first round of drilling by Robust were open in every direction and at depth.
Robust is accelerating its exploration program in the 2010 financial year with a target of 5000m to be drilled using owner-operated diamond drill rigs and a local labour force for continuing economic efficiency.
With experienced management who have a track record of major discoveries, Robust holds a 51% interest in five mineral titles totalling 25,000ha covering the entire Romang Island, with an option to increase to 75%.

Company Statement:
Robust Resoures has advanced exploration projects in Indonesia and in the Lachlan Fold Belt in New South Wales.
Robust owns an advanced exploration project at Romang Island, in Indonesia's Magmatic Arc belt. The project, which covers most of Romang Island, exhibits wide zones of gold-zinc-silver-lead-copper mineralisation, identified during previous exploration by Billiton (1990s).
Romang Island is located in Eastern Indonesia, approximately 650km north-west of Darwin. Romang lies within the Sunda magmatic arc which hosts several world class gold and base metal deposits including Newmont's massive Batu Hijau orebody (920 million metric tonnes at 0.55 percent copper and 0.42 grams per tonne gold
Robust holds a 51% interest in the Romang Island project with the option to increase that to 75%.

Current Operations:
Romang Island, Indonesia
Robust recently acquired an advanced exploration project at Romang Island, in Indonesia's Magmatic Arc belt. The project, which covers most of Romang Island, exhibits wide zones of gold-zinc-silver-lead-copper mineralisation, identified during previous exploration by Billiton (1990s). The Magmatic Arc includes the islands of Wetar, Alor and Lirang, recognised as richly endowed with gold and base metal deposits.
Robust holds a 51% interest in the Romang Island project with the option to increase that to 75%. PT Gemala Borneo Utama (PT GBU) who has been actively involved in the Indonesian mining industry since 1987, holds the remaining 49% interest. (Read More)
Robust holds 100% interest in five exploration properties within the Lachlan Fold Belt of New South Wales. These tenements, with a total area of 739km2, have been selected on the basis of favourable geology, local drill targets and anomalies, infrastructure, past exploration, previous production from old workings and the potential for early production. The map below shows the location of the Robust tenements, and their proximity to other world-class mines and resources. These tenements cover gold, silver, zinc and copper.
Pooraka
This EL of 147km2 , is near Cobar in NSW and adjacent to the Mt Boppy Mine that has produced over one million tonnes at 12 g/t gold and historically was the No 2 gold producer in NSW. The exploration targets will be for Mt. Boppy style gold and silver deposits and Cobar style base metal/gold/silver deposits. The EL is situated on the Gilmore Suture represented by the Coonara fault and contains a number of previously worked mines in Girilambone Beds/Ballast Cherts (sediments and tuffaceous volcanics - similar age to Cobar Supergroup host rocks). Bauloora
This EL of 52 km2 is adjacent to Cootamundra, NSW and contains the previously worked Bauloora Mine which recorded production of 4000 tonnes of up to 17.9% Pb, 49.0g/t Ag, 3.4% Cu, 11% Zn and 8.0g/t Au. The main lode extended for 250 metres on the surface and approximately 60 metres below the surface. Mineralisation occurs in a breccia zone in host rock of acid porphyry in a structure over 600m.
A zone of epithermal alteration and mineralisation defined by anomalous gold and lead measures 27km 2 in area contains five untested targets.
Previous drilling gave high Au, Ag and base metal values up to 27.6% Zn, 8.9 g/t Au, 101.0 g/t Ag, 6.9% Pb from various intersections. A channel sample 91.5m x 0.8m along the bottom level of Bauloora Mine gave: 4.5 g/t Au, 42.0 g/t Ag, 15.6% Zn, 8.2% Pb, 1.6% Cu. (Read More)
Tindarey
This tenement of 150km2 is located on the Cobar Supergroup Formation and Girilambone Group along strike and on same age and rock type geology as the world-class deposits at the CSA Mine (Cobar Management Pty Limited), Great Cobar Mine, the New Occidental, Endeavour (Elura), Mt Drysdale and the Peak Gold mines. Mount Barrow
This EL also associated with the Mt. Boppy Mine covers 141km2 and includes a number of previously worked mines located in Cobar Supergroup/Girilambone rocks . There are a number of untested magnetic and geochemical anomalies that have been identified.
Mt. Boppy, previously no. 2 gold producer in N.S.W. is located to the north of this EL on the same structure and geological formation as contained in this tenement. The prospects in this EL are of same derivation as the Mt. Boppy Mines. Hera Deposit at Nymagee, a recent discovery is located to the SW of this E.L. (Read More)
Exploration to date has revealed some excellent prospects:
* The Glengarry Gossan over 140 metres gave up to 15.0g/tAu and high Ag, Zn;
* The Herald Mine in dacite and feldspar porphyry gave up to 9.6g/tAu and high Ag &
Pb
* Rankins Prospect in skarn recorded anomalous Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni and Co
* The Box Tank workings on a prominent photo lineament over 4km long and 300m
wide yielded anomalous values in Cu, Au, Pb.
* Other mines and prospects are located within and on the edge of a major eruption
centre in siliceous volcanics and tuffs.
Cumnock
This EL of 249km2 is located north of the Cadia/Ridgeway operations on the Molong Rise. There are a number of previously worked gold and copper-gold mines on this E.L.
The immediate target here is for structurally controlled epithermal gold/narrow high-grade gold vein systems and for porphyry copper - gold mineralisation with Ordovician and Silurian age lithologies of similar type to others in the region such as Cadia/Ridgeway and Northparkes deposits. Quartz - magnetite - chalcopyrite style mineralisation is a viable target. Many targets on this E.L. remain untested, particularly for monzodiorite intrusive related gold mineralisation. Potential for "blind" Cadia-Ridgeway type deposits at depth may occur within the several magnetic anomalies existing within the E.L. (Read More)
