Europa Oil & Gas CEO welcomes UKOG to Holmwood partnership

Europa Oil & Gas (LON:EOG) CEO Hugh Mackay tells Proactive Investors that he welcomes technical exchange with UKOG, now part of the undrilled Holmwood project in the Weald basin in the south east of England.
“Initially it is just a change in the makeup of the joint venture partnership… the main activity since December 2008 has been attempting to get planning approval for the well” he said.

Mackay explains the complexities of the long planning application process for Holmwood and says that at this late stage, with the outcome of the planning enquiry due in August,  there are no plans to change the drilling plans. "If we were to win the planning appeal then we are quite tightly constrained in what we can do and we will be drilling a well to test the Homewood prospect which has got gross mean un-risked prospective resources of 5.6 million barrels, which is by definition recoverable,” he said.
