Berkeley Energia boss highlights "very low" capital and operating costs of Salamanca after DFS

Paul Atherley, chief executive at Berkeley Energia (LON:BKY), talks to Proactive Investors about the recently-released definitive feasibility study (DFS) which he says shows "the very low capital costs and very low operating costs" of the Salamanca uranium project in Spain which allow the company to go ahead, even at this lowest point in a decade for pricing for the commodity.

Atherley says the company aims to reach the top ten of uranium producers globally with production targets of 4.5 mln pounds annually at Salamanca.

Berkeley has been approached by “a number of utilities ”looking to secure long-term off-take agreements for uranium, Atherley reveals.

Before the year-end the company hopes to finalise the funding for the main construction set to take place in 2017.
