Company Statement:
Halo Resources’ business strategy is to review, acquire, explore and develop mineral properties of merit in Canada with the greatest potential for value creation. Halo Resources is committed to developing value with open, transparent and fair reporting to a broad range of stakeholders, including shareholders, employees, government and the communities where we operate.
Halo Resources primary focus is to develop a mineable resource at the Sherridon Copper-Zinc Project by:
- Confirmation of the near-surface resources at Cold, Lost and Bob Lake deposits;
- Expansion of the indicated and inferred 43-101 resource tonnage at Jungle Lake;
- Commencement of scoping, metallurgical and environmental studies in 2008 to test the open pit potential of the existing closely-spaced deposits; and
- Continued exploration drilling at multiple, new high priority targets with the goal of making discoveries.
Halo Resources' growth strategy is to focus on the development of quality assets in significant geological areas and close to infrastructure, either alone or in joint venture.
Current Operations:

The Sherridon VMS Property
The Sherridon VMS Property covers an area of over 20,876 hectares and hosts the past-producing Sherridon Mine that was operated by Sherritt Gordon Mines from 1933 to 1950 and produced 7.7 million tonnes of ore grading 2.46% copper and 0.8% zinc. Results from an airborne geophysical survey completed in the summer of 2006 identified an additional 122 targets. The property is located only 70 km northeast of the mining and metallurgical complex in Flin Flon operated by HudBay Minerals Inc. Future development of the property is facilitated by the presence of an all-weather road and railroad access as well as a power line and communications tower. [READ MORE]
