Stellar Resources (ASX: SRZ) holds two priority advanced resource projects - a major magnetite project located in South Australia and a high grade tin deposit in Tasmania - as well as a number of exploration properties targeting copper, gold, uranium and nickel.
The company's aim is to develop a minimum 5 million tonne per annum magnetite operation based on the completion of a successful feasibility study at Tarcoola iron ore project in central South Australia.

Heemskirk Tin
Stellar owns 100% of Heemskirk Tin after acquiring the minority interest in exchange for shares and a royalty. Key advantages of the project are its high grade, excellent exploration potential, good infrastructure and close proximity to other mining operations including Australia’s largest tin mine, Renison Bell. Tarcoola Iron Ore
The 100% owned Tarcoola Iron Ore project is located in South Australia. It includes Coolybring, a 700 million tonne exploration target of magnetite banded iron located near Tarcoola and Hicks Hill, a magnetite exploration prospect located 40km southeast near Kingoonya. Both deposits are within 10km of the Trans-Australian railway which links the project to the proposed bulk commodity terminal at Port Bonython. Read More
Pirie Basin Uranium
The Pirie Basin is located south of Whyalla along the east coast of the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. Discovery of the Blackbush and Plumbush sedimentary uranium deposits in the northern section of the basin has upgraded Stellar’s 100% owned EL 4242 and EL 3798 in the southern half of the basin. Phillip G Harman (Non-Executive Chairman)
B.Sc (Hons), MAusIMM
Mr Harman is a professional geophysicist with more than 30 years working for BHP Billiton in minerals exploration in a broad number of roles, both technical and managerial, in Australia and overseas. He has also held directorships within ASX-listed mineral exploration companies Gravity Diamonds Limited and Gippsland Oil and Petroleum Limited. Mr Harman is Chairman of Predictive Discovery Limited and a director of Deep Exploration Technologies Cooperative Research Centre.
Thomas J Burrowes (Non-Executive Director)
B.Ec (Hons), MBA
Mr Burrowes has had extensive experience in all facets of Australian exploration and mining over the past sixteen years and was the founding Chairman of Stellar Resources Limited. After an initial career in funds management, he has held a number of directorships in ASX-listed exploration and mining companies including Carr Boyd Minerals Limited, VAM Limited, Perseverance Corporation Limited, Bendigo Mining NL, New Hampton Goldfields Limited and Buka Minerals Limited. Mr Burrowes is a director of the private exploration company Providence Gold and Minerals Pty Ltd.
David J Isles (Non-Executive Director)
B.Sc (Hons) PhD, SEG, ASEG, AIG, MAusIMM
Dr Isles is a geophysicist and recognised expert in aeromagnetic interpretation. He has worked in operational exploration with BHP Minerals and in the area of exploration technology development with World Geoscience Corporation. He has held directorships with ASX-listed companies New Hampton Goldfields Limited and Gravity Diamonds Limited. He is a founding director of Stellar Resources Limited and a non-executive director of Mineral Deposits Limited.
Thomas H Whiting (Non-Executive Director)
B.Sc (Hons) PhD, Grad Dip Fin, MASEG, MAICDs
Dr Tom Whiting has spent more than 30 years in the minerals exploration industry both as a geophysicist and an exploration manager. From 2000 to 2004 he was Vice President of Minerals Exploration for BHP Billiton. During his career with BHP Billiton he was associated with a number of discoveries, in particular the Cannington Pb/Zn/Ag mine in Queensland, the world’s largest producer of silver and lead. He is a director of Predictive Discovery Limited and Exco Resources Limited and Chairman of Deep Exploration Technologies Cooperative Research Centre.
Peter G Blight (Chief Executive Officer)
B.Sc (Hons), MSc, MAusIMM, MAICD
Mr Blight has been involved in the exploration, mining and finance industries for the past 31 years. Prior to joining Stellar Resources, he was Director of Research at Russian aluminium giant UC Rusal where he was responsible for market analysis and business development in China and India. He has also had a 14 year career with investment bank UBS as Executive Director of Commodity Analysis in London and prior to that as a mining company analyst in Melbourne.
Christina Kemp (Company Secretary)
Dip Accounting, Dip AICD
Ms Kemp is an accountant with 30 years of experience with both public and private companies. Her extensive career began in manufacturing but has also included mineral exploration, mining, retail, travel, transport and utilities.
