Tirex Resources Ltd. is conducting the first ever large-scale and modern exploration of the Mirdita Copper-Zinc-Gold VMS District located in northern Albania. Tirex has raised $40 million for this project from institutional investors throughout North America and Europe and from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Tirex flew the first ever airborne geophysical survey in Albania’s history and since completing that survey has conducted ongoing exploration work utilizing the best available exploration technology in the world, employed by the industry’s top geologists and geophysicists who specialize in this type of mineralization. Tirex has recently announced that it is transitioning from exploration into full scale commercial mining production of copper and gold. Tirex operates to the highest international standards in terms of environment, safety and community.

Mirdita Project

The opportunity that Tirex has at Mirdita is unique because of the company's first-mover status in this geologically rich country. By being early to the economic emergence of Albania, Tirex was able to acquire a potentially world-class Mineral District at a time when companies in other countries are simply looking for good individual projects. It is belief of the expert Tirex exploration and development team that Mirdita has the potential to become one of the world's great VMS Districts with multiple large economic deposits. It's not very often that an opportunity to acquire a District comes along and Tirex is working to turn this good fortune into a significant win for both shareholders and for the people of Albania who want a large and prosperous mining industry to fuel economic growth and advancement.

For many years, Albania was shut off from the rest of the world in many ways. One of the consequences of this is that while the rest of the world was gaining immense knowledge about VMS deposits and developing new exploration techniques over the past 40 years, Albanian geologists were shut out of much of these advances. Furthermore, by government decree, exploration and mining done in this important district focused only on copper and was conducted by state-run Soviet, Chinese and Albanian organizations. Zinc was not mined despite high grades due to a lack of processing facilities and the focus of exploration was narrow.

The Tirex technical team, recognizing the potential for a world-class VMS District, acquired the bulk of the mineral rights within this district and proceeded with exploration based on new geological interpretations and modern techniques. The Mirdita Project consists of numerous old mines, mineral prospects and exploration targets already identified on the property through data compilation work as well as a whole host of highly prospective new targets generated by the recently completed airborne geophysical survey.

Tirex's Mirdita Project covers an area of approximately 344 km2 and is located approximately 70 km northeast of Albania's capital city, Tirana and 85km northeast of the port city of Durres on the Adriatic Sea . Mr. R. Stuart "Tookie" Angus is an independent business advisor to the mining industry. He was formerly Head of the Global Mining Group for Fasken Martineau. For the past 30 years, Mr. Angus has focused on structuring and financing significant international exploration, development and mining ventures. More recently, he was Managing Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for Endeavour Financial. Mr. Slusarchuk has significant experience financing and operating companies involved in mineral exploration and development. Mr. Slusarchuk, prior to establishing a track record as a successful private and public company CEO, was a Senior Investment Advisor at a premier Canadian investment dealer. Mr. Slusarchuk has a substantial European and North American financial network and has worked within it to finance and structure multiple North American and European ventures. In 2008, Mr. Slusarchuk was a featured speaker at TEDx Vancouver 2009 and is a founder of and partner at Skanderbeg Capital Group, a company focused on deploying venture capital to fast-growing venture situations.

    
Fred Tejada, P.Geo.
Position: President
Mr. Tejada is a professional geologist, registered in British Columbia. He has 30 years of international mineral industry experience and has a proven track record, working with both major and junior mining and exploration focused organizations. Mr. Tejada was Country Manager for Phelps Dodge Exploration Corporation in the Philippines with responsibility over corporate and technical matters, development of exploration strategy and acquisitions. Prior to joining Tirex he was Vice President for Exploration of Panoro Minerals Ltd. where he directed the resource definition drilling of its two major copper projects in Peru.

    
George Gorzynski, P. Eng
Position: Director
Mr. Gorzynski is a geologist and an international mineral exploration consultant to the junior exploration industry. His wide-ranging experience spans over 25 years and has included projects over much of the globe. His work has involved a variety of commodities with particular expertise in base and precious metals. Mr. Gorzynski has served on the boards and in management of several private and public companies involved in mineral exploration. He is currently a Director of IMPACT Silver Corp., a publicly traded silver producer and exploration company where he was instrumental in identifying, negotiating and completing the purchase of the Royal Mines of Zacualpan project for the company. Mr. Gorzynski holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) from the University of Toronto and a Master of Applied Science from the University of British Columbia. He is a Professional Engineer registered in the Province of British Columbia.

    
Frederick J. Sveinson, P.Eng.
Position: Director
Fred Sveinson is a professional mining engineer with more than 40 years experience in the development and operation of underground mines from 100 to 2,000 tpd in Africa, the United States, South America and Canada, including the Arctic. Senior positions have included: GM of Echo Bay's Lupin and Sunnyside operations and VP of Tonto Mining and Dynatec Mining. Mr. Sveinson is currently working as a Consulting Mining Engineer providing services to the mining industry.

Position: Director
Mr. Booth is a partner of Conservation Financial International. A qualified lawyer in Ontario, New York and DC, John articled on Bay Street with Aylesworth, Thompson in 1989 before moving to London to join Merrill Lynch International. He has also worked with ICAP, ABN AMRO Bank, CIBC, the World Bank and Climate Change Capital at various points during a 20 year career in financial services. Mr. Booth has experience with both public and private equity, M&A, structured finance, and capital markets and has co-founded three finance sector start-ups during his career - one sold, one merged and one in its fifth round of funding. He holds an Honours B.Sc. in Freshwater Biology and Environmental Science (Guelph), LLB (Windsor), JD (Detroit), and LLM in International Environmental, Tax and Finance Law (London). He is a member of the Bar in Ontario, New York, and Washington DC. Mr. Booth is the Chairman of Laramide Resources (LAM.T) and also serves on the boards of directors and various board committees of both H2O Innovation (HEO.V) and Maya Gold and Silver (MYA.V) and on the board of the Ottawa RiverKeeper charity.

    
Jeffrey T. Griffin
Position: Director
Mr. Jeffrey T. Griffin has held multiple high level positions in finance over the course of his career. From November 2001 until September 2010, Mr. Griffin was the Chief Executive Officer and President of the Albanian-American Enterprise Fund (AAEF). The AAEFs assets were approximately $20 million when Mr. Griffin arrived and as of September 2010 were over six times the original capital of $30 million, the highest percentage return among all the Enterprise Funds created under the SEED Act. During this time, Mr. Griffin received the Medal of Appreciation in 2009 from President Topi of Albania for outstanding service to Albania in helping to create and enhance a vibrant private sector economy.

Mr. Richards was previously an audit manager at a premier Canadian chartered accountant firm where he specialized in the mining industry. Mr. Richards has significant accounting experience working with mineral exploration and development companies in Canada and throughout the world.

Ms. Bernard is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia (since July 12, 1983). She obtained a B.Soc. Sc. degree from the University of Ottawa, in 1979; and obtained her LL.B. degree from the University of Ottawa, in 1982. Ms. Bernard is an experienced corporate lawyer with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment within which public companies operate. Prof. Perparim Alikaj, Ph.D
Position: Albanian Advisory Team
Prof. Alikaj is based in Tirana, Albania and is a citizen of both Albania and Canada. Prof. Alikaj is the Head of Geophysics Section, Department of Earth Sciences at Polytechnic University of Tirana. Prof. Alikaj is also a private consulting geophysicist in mineral exploration, groundwater exploration and engineering geology. Prof. Alikaj is credited with inventing Real Section IP and Voltage Domain IP technologies. He has consulted on numerous gold and base metal exploration projects throughout the world including projects in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. The largest ore deposit discovered with Real Section IP technology is the San Nicolas deposit with 65 million ton of polymetallic minerals, located at a depth of 200m. Prof. Alikaj has a Bachelors of Science as a Geophysical Engineer, a Master of Science in Geophysics and a Ph.D in Geophysics from the Polytechnic University of Tirana. He is a member of the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers and of the Canadian Exploration Geophysical Society.

Mr. Kaleshi is a Certified Accountant (certified by the Ministry of Finance, Tirana, Albania) and holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Tirana, Albania. Mr. Kaleshi served as the Head of Internal Audit for the Financial Union of Tirana (Representative of Western Union Services Inc. for Albania) and also held a position as Financial Analyst for the same organization. Previously, Mr. Kaleshi was Responsible for Fixed Assets while employed by Albanian Mobile Communications. Mr. Kaleshi is well versed in finance, accounting and regulatory procedures for companies maintaining business operations in Albania.
