Big Picture – A Deep Dive Examination of Blackham Resources Ltd
Blackham Resources Ltd Snapshot
Australian gold producer with exceptional growth opportunity.
The Matilda Mine encompasses 10km of strike along the highly prospective Coles Shear. The Matilda Mine currently has JORC Resources of 11.1Mt @ 1.6g/t for 569,000 ounces of gold. The historical workings comprise a series of shallow open pits to an average depth of 50 metres over a strike length of approximately 3.5 kilometres. Gold mineralisation is associated with mafic shear zones and saddle reefs with supergene gold occurring within the zone of oxidation. Mineralisation remains open both along strike and at depth.
The Williamson deposit is situated on the Wiluna Mine Sequence covering 6km of strike with multiple mineralised structures. The Williamson Mine Centre currently has JORC resources of 7.1Mt @ 1.6 g/t for 360,000 ounces of gold. The Williamson Mine Centre also has an Exploration Target of 0.5 – 2Moz (4.4–11Mt, 2-6g/t au)1. Williamson is only 26km to the Wiluna Gold Plant and 10kms from the Matilda Mine by existing haul roads. The Williamson open pit was last operated by Agincourt and produced around 668,000 tonnes @ 1.98 g/t gold for a total of 42,000 ounces and ceased in September 2006, when the gold price was A$770/oz.
The Wiluna Mine is located close to the town of Wiluna, approximately 750km northeast of Perth. Altogether over 4 million ounces of gold has been produced from 20 open pits and 3 underground mines, including the Golden Age mine which is currently a source of high grade free milling ore. All the mines are within 4kms of the Wiluna processing facility. JORC 2012 Mineral Resources currently 40.8Mt @ 3.93glt for 5.2 Moz.
